About the Clear Lake City Law Firm of Badeaux and Associates
Welcome to the Law Firm of Badeaux and Associates. After working for law firms in Houston, Texas, for three years, Joanne Badeaux wanted to bring the “big city” expertise to the creative and dynamic areas in and around Clear Lake City where Ms. Badeaux has resided since 1986.
Because Ms. Badeaux wanted to be an attorney since childhood, it was fun and exciting for her to start her own law practice and to offer the legal services in the areas of law in which she had gained experience: Real Estate Law, Business Law, Wills and Trusts, and Probate.
Since its humble beginnings in 1986, Badeaux and Associates has provided sound legal advice, given each client the individual attention he or she deserves, and efficiently controlled legal fees.
The firm’s policy is to make an attorney readily available to answer your telephone calls to discuss your requests, questions and concerns. We respect our clients and our firm’s philosophy is that communication between attorneys and clients is fundamental in implementing a successful strategy to accomplish the clients’ desired objectives. Joanne Badeaux’s, the Senior Partner’s, prior work experience and volunteer work have given her keen insight which is unique from other law firms. Ms. Badeaux adds her wealth of knowledge to Badeaux and Associates in the three areas of law which the firm practices.
Because Real Estate, Wills, Probate and Business Law touch most clients in their lives, Badeaux and Associates is a one-stop shop for their clients as those issues arise in their lives.
Related to Ms. Badeaux’s Residential Real Estate Law, Commercial Real Estate and Business Law experience prior to opening her law firm in 1986, Ms. Badeaux worked for law firms in Houston, Texas, whose clients purchased and sold Real Estate and Businesses.
Further, Joanne Badeaux worked for Stewart Title Company examining titles. Today, for its clients in the Clear Lake City and surrounding areas, Badeaux and Associates uses its Real Estate and Business Law backgrounds on a daily basis for clients who buy or sell Residential or Commercial Real Estate; for clients who own Limited Liability Companies; and for Wills and Probate clients who are leaving Real Estate to their heirs after they pass away.
For Powers of Attorney and Directives to Physician, Joanne Badeaux had the distinctive experience of volunteering for hospice where she saw families using Medical Powers of Attorney and Directives to Physicians for their loved ones who were hospitalized. From that experience, Badeaux and Associates includes unique provisions in its Medical Powers of Attorney and Directives to Physicians for the purpose of easing the family member’s use of those documents at the critical time of end of life decisions.
With the hundreds of Wills and Trusts it has drafted for its Clear Lake City and surrounding areas clients, it is infrequent for Badeaux and Associates to need a tax attorney; however Badeaux and Associates joined with an attorney who is board certified in Estate Planning and Probate, and who has an LLM in tax law for the rare occasion when clients’ estates have tax consequences beyond credit shelter trusts and life insurance trusts.
